Traumatic brain injury on 2-25-84 (in Israel, at the age of 9), car accident (vehicle fell 10 m into a ditch), loss of consciousness, did not vomit, normal neurological exam. Deep wound on left forehead, from eyebrow to parietal area, pulsing dura exposed, subdural air. Operated under general anaesthesia (Rambam Medical Center, Haifa), small tear in dura, minimal contusion below. Wound closed without reconstruction of skull defect. Superficial consciousness for 2½ days. Release after 8 days, no overt neurological deficits. [acute CT 84, top layers] [follow up 85]

Operation under general anaesthesia on 8-15-96, at El Camino Hospital (CA). Scar tissue with keloid was removed, extending from left eye in an oblique fashion from medial to lateral to just beyond the hairline on the left. The irregular skull defect (2.5 x 7.5 cm) was closed with methyl methacrylate, using quick-curing Aneuroplast. At that occasion diagnosed as neurologically normal.
